It’s been a little more than two months since my last post; I’ve been doing so much I haven’t had much time to do anything else!
Most of my summer time was spent working in Redondo Beach at a technology summer camp for kids called PlanetBravo as a Programmer Counselor. I basically taught kids how to make 2D and 3D video games. I’d leave every morning at about 6:30 AM and I’d get back a little before 6 PM. The camp itself was great fun—the kids were amazingly awesome and my co-workers were cool—but the hour-and-some drive every morning and afternoon was terrible. I had a horrible experience when my car broke down from exhaustion one morning in the middle lane of the 91. Luckily, one of the Metro tow trucks was passing by and towed my car off the freeway free of charge! When I finally got to work, I found out that the co-worker that drove the same kind of car that I drove had her car break down too! That kind of says a lot about ’98 Mercury Mystiques! Other than that experience, I had a really great time—except for when I injured my right quad very badly playing Capture the Flag the last week of camp; it still hasn’t healed completely!
Camp ended a few weeks ago, and I’ve started tutoring again for AVID at Wilson. Grandview AVID doesn’t start until next week, but it’ll make my schedule slightly more difficult to handle once it does start. We’ll see how it goes.
In other work, I photographed a wedding and I’m working on getting the images all nice and spiffy. I want to ask the couple’s permission to post some of the best shots here as part of my portfolio. I hope they agree!
Since my schedule isn’t as hectic as it was a few weeks ago, I hope to be able to post regularly again. Thanks for tuning in, and thanks for not leaving!
