Hi, there! My name is Hiram Sarmiento. I am an “aspiring polymath” whose interests include photography, filmmaking, music, architecture, design, linguistics, programming, mathematics, philosophy, and a myriad of other subjects. I currently live in a suburb of the city formerly known as El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río Porciúncula situated on the southern border of what used to be Rancho La Puente.

I studied Computer Science at Cal Poly Pomona. I picked up photography in high school, along with many other interests, and have been mostly self-taught in these respects.

I’ve worked various, odd jobs since graduating. For a while, I was an AVID Tutor at Glen A. Wilson High School (my alma mater) and a Substitute Teacher for the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. Currently, I work at Biola University keeping the studios running for the film and journalism departments.

This Web site serves as a portfolio of some of my work and as a place to collect my thoughts and personal stories that someone might enjoy. If you do find something interesting, feel free to leave a comment or contact me; let’s get to know each other!
